Attend our Events

Children by Choice organises several special events throughout the year to raise money for the Women’s Access Fund and to assist the organisation build its services.  Past events have included Movie Nights, Cocktail Parties and successful fundraising events with Menopause the Musical.  These events are lots of fun and are a special way to meet others who support CbyC.

They also help to raise awareness of the issues faced by women and their families when experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.

To be on our “Friends of CbyC” email list to be kept informed of special upcoming events please contact our Administration & Promotions Officer.  Below are some of our recent past events. Check out the scrolling "What's Happening" section on the homepage for our upcoming events.

160 people attended the "Vera Drake" Movie Fundraiser at the Dendy Cinema.

A moving drama nominated for 3 Oscars ... Vera Drake (Imelda Staunton) lives with her husband Stan (Phil Davis) and their two adult children, Sid and Ethel (Daniel Mays and Alex Kelly) in post war London. Vera is the picture of motherly love, nursing her mother and neighbours, cooking, cleaning and taking in suppertime strays. However unbeknownst to her family, Vera also spends her working day helping girls who “find themselves in trouble”.

May 28th 2004

In celebration of the International Day of Action on Women's Health, we relaunched our website at a wonderful cocktail party.  Thanks to our venue sponsor:
