Information and Resources

A key objective of Children by Choice is to provide detailed information and resources concerning unplanned pregnancy, abortion law and reproductive rights, to people working in this arena or wishing to analyse these issues.

For Members:  Our quarterly newsletter covers organisational activities and the latest information on reproductive rights and abortion from Australia and overseas.

For Students:  Please explore the yellow tab "Fact Sheets" and the "If you are pregnant" section for assignment information and links to documents and further resources.  We also distribute Information Kits and answer many requests via email or telephone for specific information.  We would appreciate it, if you could take the time to review our on-line resources before phoning us.

For Service Agencies, Community Centres and Medical Practitioners: We can distribute resources, such as posters, brochures and information sheets, to your service.  We promote interagency visits, networking and joint initiatives between services.  Specific professional development training is undertaken by Children by Choice across Queensland.  You can also contact us for direct confidential support relating to any unplanned pregnancy issues concerning your clients. 

For Individual Research: We have a reference library in Brisbane which specialises in the social, legal, health and political aspects of abortion, unplanned pregnancy and reproductive health.  This includes press clippings, journals and book resources.  The library is open by appointment and photocopying facilities are available.
