Resolution not recovery: Introduction to post-abortion counselling & Applied Practice
First session: Considers short-term counselling in the context of post-abortion. It will enhance understanding of factors in resolution after an abortion, assessment and referral pathways for health care practitioners

Non-directive pregnancy options counselling Brisbane (3 hours)
A specialized pregnancy options training module for health and allied healthcare practitioners who may work with pregnant people in the context of pregnancy decision making. This short program provides evidence-based information on non-directive all options counselling - parenting, alternative care arrangements, adoption and abortion and key counselling communication techniques
Intersection of unplanned pregnancy, domestic violence, reproductive coercion & contraception options Brisbane (2 hours)
Workshop explores domestic violence and reproductive coercion in the context of pregnancy decision-making. It will enhance understanding, assessment and referral pathways for health and allied health care and support practitioners who may provide pregnancy decision making support, counselling and or post-abortion counselling or who are supporting clients who have ongoing case management or engagement with services.
Introduction to post-abortion counselling - Resolution not recovery Brisbane (2 hours)
Workshop that considers short-term counseling in the post-abortion context. It will enhance understanding of factors in resolution after an abortion, assessment and referral pathways for health and allied health care and support practitioners who may provide pregnancy decision making support, counselling or post-abortion counselling or in a case management context.

October is Sexual Violence Awareness Month
Children by Choice, Cairns Sexual Health and Cairns Sexual Assault services have teamed up to facilitate an immersive, full day training workshop for health and allied health care practitioners who provide clinical services, counselling or support to people who may want to consider pregnancy options, have experienced sexual violence or require post-abortion support.
