Queensland Abortion Law (Page)
On October 17 2018 the Termination of Pregnancy Bill was passed in parliament, decriminalising abortion. The Bill came into operation on 3 December 2018. This will allow women to make an informed decision about the termination of a pregnancy in consultation with their healthcare provider. It will also allow healthcare providers to deliver these services without fear of criminal proceedings.
